“You’re a good, good father… [and] you are perfect in all of your ways.” These are words the Church and sang over and over and over just a few years ago, and they are words we still believe. But what about when God’s ways prove higher and altogether other? What about when His way is a detour we never would have chosen to take?
We all have a desire to know God and be known by Him. The comforting news is we can. The uncomfortable part? We never will fully. How do we reconcile the mysteries and uncertainties in regards to God and His sovereignty – especially when life takes a turn into the valley?
Tonight we’ll turn to Deuteronomy 29 and the life of Moses to see how he and others in the Bible found Shalom and peace with God, even when their life was anything but peaceful!
