One of the great consequences of the secular viewpoint of our universe’s origin is that there was a point in time when nothing existed. If there was nothing before then this is all we have and nothing waits for us after. But when you embrace the truth of a Biblical world view, you come to realize that there is a vast, immeasurable realm that has always existed and that our universe is part of a divine plan marching all of heaven and earth to something new and indescribably glorious! If we don’t have grounded, Biblical beliefs about what existed before Genesis and what is going to happen after Revelation, we will likely misunderstand much of what Scripture is trying to teach us between Genesis and Revelation. The before and after creates a context for understanding everything in between. This message is going to focus specifically on the existence of Satan, the enemy of our soul and how understanding what the Bible says about him before Genesis and after Revelation exposes his schemes. We will also see how Jesus is continually teaching us how to posture and position our lives in a way that more readily resists the temptations that Satan will surely bring against us. Don’t let modern film and secular mythology shape what you believe about Satan. He isn’t going to show up as a creature with a growly voice crawling upside down on your ceiling. His goal isn’t to scare you. His plan is to lure you to his side without you even knowing you serve him.
