Did you know that the phrase Kingdom of God is used over 60 times in 10 different New Testament books? When God gives something emphasis, it is for our attention. And then in Matthew, we see that he prefers the phrase Kingdom of Heaven, used over 30 times. The idea of kingdom is distinct from empire. God isn’t creating an empire that values conquest, prospering at the expense of others, or forcing people into compliance. He is inviting us to join Him in His Kingdom that promises liberty, freedom, salvation, and purpose for everyone who gives allegiance to the one true King, Jesus. And to celebrate Father’s Day this year, we have three of City Life’s own to talk with us about what it means to them to be a Kingdom Father.
