Do you recall how Jesus said we would be known, recognized as His disciples, identified as being God’s children? Love. Tonight’s message takes a look at Jesus’ conversation with a man by the name of Nicodemus. This man had what most would call success. From the description we are given it is safe to conclude he was wealthy, influential, highly educated, and accomplished in his vocation. Nicodemus had many questions for Jesus, but Jesus kept reminding him that the most important thing we can every know in this life is God’s love. Does knowledge matter? Sure! We talk about the importance of knowledge in this message. But when the knowledge we gain is born out of a loving relationship with Jesus, we tend to use that knowledge in a more loving way toward others! There are three desires I see in this conversation: Nicodemus wanted to be with Jesus, to talk to Jesus, and to live for Jesus. Let’s look at those together! And remember, the Bible tells a story…you and I have a part to play! I hope this message inspires you to long for this same sentiment: I want the history I’m making to be the story God is writing!
