God spoke us into existence and we– created in his image– were created to speak and converse. And not just with each other, but with God! In this series “Conversations” we will spend our summer looking at different glorious conversations between God and people. Tonight we will look at a confusing passage at the heart of the Gospel of Mark, where Jesus heals a blind man by spitting in his face. Why would he use an act that strikes at the dignity of a person to heal? Is there a broader conversation and context that explains it? And what does his brief conversation with the blind man teach us about being honest with God? We’ll look at all of this and more as we dig into Mark 8 together!
