Desperation is a feeling that all of us have experienced at some point in life. Maybe it was during a time when you felt overwhelmed by a personal tragedy. When relationships fracture, finances fail, or people betray us we can feel desperate because we feel powerless. But is there another side to desperation? What about the kind of desperation that comes not because something tragic has happened but because we are filled with anticipation for something indescribably wonderful that is about to happen. May we all be desperate for God! In this sermon on Luke 7:36-50 we will unpack what it looks like to truly be desperate for God, to have a longing for Him that is surpassed by nothing else.
