Why do we insist on calling Eden perfect when there was tree that grew forbidden fruit and Lucifer the author of all things evil was allowed to roam freely? Vannessa and I have 3 teenagers…but long ago, LONG AGO, we set up a nursery before each of them was born. That process entails not only child proofing the nursery but your whole house! We didn’t put knives in their rooms and matches in their toy boxes and simply tell them not to touch them. We didn’t allow strangers in our house and tell our children to be cautious around them. So why did God subject mankind to so much risk? We call Eden perfect because it was exactly what God intended it to be, including the tree and the serpent. After this series, you will never look at the story of creation the same, and you will understand suffering in an entirely new light! God told mankind to get out because He wanted us to stay forever when we returned.
