The word ‘Pentecostal’ means a lot of different things to different people. But at the heart of Pentecost is the immediacy of God, present and active among us. Today we too can live with an expectation that we will experience his nearness and his power through the Holy Spirit in us- both receiving his presence at salvation and releasing his power through Holy Spirit baptism. Tonight we will look specifically at two aspects unleashed at Pentecost- the gift of the Holy Spirit himself, as well as the gifts of the Holy Spirit!
