Open Heaven. This has become a popular phrase in churches today and for good reason! Because the Bible teaches us that there are Open Heaven moments waiting for us in this life. I love this quote by Pastor Bill Johnson, “The Holy Spirit is in us for us, but when He comes upon us it’s to alter the environment, it’s to help us operate in power so that the people that we serve are impacted for eternity and that’s the mandate.” Throughout the summer and possibly into the fall, we are going to explore the many ways the Bible talks about an Open Heaven. I want my life to be filled with moments when I am overcome by the nearness of Heaven! Let’s believe God together that His Spirit is not just within us but upon us, to impact our city for eternity!
