Destiny isn’t just one moment or even one life role in a certain season of life. Destiny is a compilation of purpose moments. Not every moment in life is consequential, but often what seems inconsequential can be the beginning of a purpose moment! Do I love all the supernatural, dramatic, mystical, renting of the fabric that separates eternal from temporal moments we read about in Scripture? Sure! But not every purpose moment that is connected to our destiny begins that way. This message looks at the life of Julius, the Roman soldier tasked with delivering Paul to Rome. In these two chapters in Acts (27 and 28) we find four disciplines to not missing our purpose moments or as Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 16:9, “a wide-open door for a great work.” These four disciplines are also found in 1 Corinthians 16 (verse 13)…be on guard, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, and be strong. Let’s see how Julius demonstrated these four disciplines and was found found faithful in this purpose moment for his life.
