Protagonists Anonymous…minor roles…major lessons. Every great story has a hero, a protagonist. And as we reflect on Scripture our thoughts are drawn to those who are the more popular. But there are heroes in Scripture who are too often overlooked, people who admittedly had minor roles but at the same time, their lives offer us major lessons. For this week we are going to examine Gamaliel, the influential leader from Acts 5 who intervened to save the lives of several apostles who had been arrested, miraculously released from prison, and are now being detained again. His influence that day is a brief moment in Scripture but holds profound lessons for us. Remember, God has given you everything you need to thrive spiritually, to prosper within, even in the midst of the hardships of this world. You have an influence God wants you to use to advance His plans, but it’s going to cost you some things, some sacred things…some things He once gave you that now He is asking you to relinquish. Trust Him!
