“Falling in love can be easy / staying in love is too tricky.” On Valentine’s Day weekend it’s worth asking the question – why is this old song lyric proven accurate time and time again? Why is staying in love so tricky? This weekend we’ll ask these questions and more as we look at the first of Christ’s seven letters to seven churches in the book of Revelation, the letter to the church in Ephesus that had wandered from its “first love.” Staying in love had indeed proven tricky for believers in Ephesus.
