In the Hebrew language, there is not a separate word for both hear and obey. They are two sides of the same coin, one word. To hear from God is to obey Him. That word is “shema” and our question to you in this series is this, “Have you found your shema?” In this series, you are going to discover that changing the way you hear changes everything. When you consider everything that God wants you to stop doing and all the things that God wants you to start doing, are you rebellious, reluctant, or reflexive? Have you found your shema? I want the reflex of my heart to be one of obedience to God. And I believe that there are five conversions of the soul that I must avail myself to if I’m going to change the way my heart responds to God. This series is going to teach you about these five conversions. Most of us are familiar with a religious conversion in Christianity. Jesus doesn’t just want to see our souls saved through a religious conversion; He wants us to find our shema…because changing the way we hear changes everything. This weekend we walk you through the idea of a Moral Conversion. Let’s reach for our Shema!
