Jesus is still showing up, 2000 years later and your story of meeting Him matters. My story of meeting Him matters. He shows up for us, but He also shows up in our lives so we can be a witness for Him…a witness of His forgiveness, a witness of His grace, a witness of His power to transform out lives! May it be that each of us both has a story to tell and is willing to share it with anyone who might listen. That’s what this series has been about and I hope that this final message in this series has inspired you to be a witness for Him. As we close out our series, we wrap up looking at Jesus’ Ascension. This is part two, an extension from last week. The manner is which He ascended into Heaven is intended to remind us that we have a divine assignment, an individual assignment and a shared assignment in our local church. Tonight we’ll examine Hebrews 12:2 and apply this famous verse that speaks to Jesus’ motivation for His own assignments to our lives. We’ll also circle back to last week and dig a little deeper into our shared assignment in the church, learning from King David’s mistakes while trying to retrieve the Ark of the Covenant. Thanks for listening!
