I love the story of the Magi, and how central they are to the birth of Jesus. In this special Christmas message, I want to give you three questions, one prayer, and one promise as you move toward 2024. Each of the three gifts from the Magi give us our three questions, their journey gives us our prayer, and the star provides for us our promise. The Bible is rich with prophetic imagery, divinely inspired text that the Holy Spirit illuminates creating epiphany after epiphany filling our hearts with moments of self reflection, faith filled petitions, and hope inspiring promises. Christmas gatherings, gifts given and received, cards exchanged, and holiday decorations abounding in our homes…I’m all in for Christmas cheer! And in the midst of all the celebration, may we never forget the true meaning of this time of year, Jesus.
