Every week new people are visiting, both in person and online! And our Welcome Weekend series approach is designed to help people new to City Life learn more about us. Consider this, all of us were visitors at the church we call home at some point, and we had questions, lots of questions. I have been watching the series The Chosen, the dramatic series that tells the story of Jesus, and I am reminded that early in Jesus’ ministry people wanted to know two things: who are you and what do you teach? I think people still have those same two questions today when they are looking for a church to call home. This weekend’s message entitled The Lost Parables challenges us to look at these three parables in a new light. Do I believe they teach us about evangelism? Yes. But I also believe they teach us about discipleship. And both of these are central to who we are and what we teach at City Life Church! We want to reach the lost with The Gospel and help Christians mature in their faith.
