September 14th was a historic weekend for City Life Church. We’ve all been praying for this day to come…for God to give us a permanent home that could serve His vision for City Life. And here we are!!! This message launches a new series that both Pastor Justin and myself will be preaching here in Newport News and Suffolk. WhyDoBe speaks to the new mission we are confident that God has given us: To build the church Jesus envisioned, to love the world He died to save. This mission comes from three direct statements made by Jesus found in Luke 19:10, Matthew 16:18, and John 13:35. This message lays out for us how we understand these three verses, how they relate together, and how they give us our new mission statement here at City Life Church.
