Last weekend we looked at Jesus’ declarative statement in Luke 19:10 and asked the question: is Jesus’ reason for coming- to seek and save the lost- my reason for living? This weekend we look at Jesus’ second declarative statement: “I will build my church.” In Acts 1 he gives final instructions to the builders of his church before ascending to Heaven. And those instructions still ring true for the Church 2000 years later! Jesus’ final commands should be our first concern, and this should pave the way for our doing as we build the Church!
