Everyone has Whys in life but hopefully they never become Woes. A Why is a conversation with God about situations and circumstances in our lives. In fact, as you’ll hear in this message, this is one of the reasons Jesus taught us what is commonly referred to at the Lord’s Prayer. We walk through this prayer and explain how each part is really a category of Whys, questions we are supposed to bring to God. When we don’t pray, when we don’t talk to God about what is happening in our lives, when we don’t bring our questions to Him…those same situations and circumstances become Woes. A Woe is when a Why becomes self-talk, when we slip into a place of self-pity, “Woe is me.” Let your life be filled with “Why me God” questions and you’ll never get stuck in a “Woe is me” mindset!
