The people Jesus noticed were often the outcasts of society. The story of Zacchaeus in no exception. He was a regional tax collector meaning his very job made him a traitor to his country as he conspired with Rome and enriched himself dishonestly at the expense of his neighbors. And while most of us would never betray the people we love most, what we find with Jesus, He helps us to see that our sin is still always a betrayal of God that needs forgiveness. These brief messages on the first Saturday of each month are intended to inspire faith in us as we move into a time of praying for people at our church. If you are listening online because you were not able to be here, make sure you reach out to someone to pray with you about the things the Holy Spirit prompts you to address as you listen to this message!
